Jeanéva Christie spent the first eighteen years of her life as a military brat on the west coast and Alaska. During those years she learned that family isn’t always those you are born into. Sometimes the family you adopt along the way is the best. They are there through thick and thin because they choose to be.

Jeanéva has always been passionate about whatever she sets her mind to, whether it’s children, family, veterans, the elderly, or the disabled. She is creative and artistic. She has flights of fancy and a need to share her stories. When she isn’t caring for her elderly disabled veteran father or writing she spends her time reading and cuddling with her Yorkie, Schnuckie.

I always start a writing session with “What if?”

What if a young orphaned alien woman suddenly starts attracting the unwanted attention of every male in sight? She’s chased from one end of the spaceport to the other with no rest in sight. She’s even attracted the unsavory attention of a slaver. Oh, and before you ask, this is no damsel in distress. No, she is the huntress. But even the huntress can become the prey.

What if a galactic elite soldier is stranded on this backwater planet during a mission to save a species? What if he has no sense of smell and therefore isn’t affected by the female other than a need to protect?

What if the only thing that might save her is choosing a mate? What if he isn’t her only mate? What if there is a prophecy to fulfill?

These are just some of the questions that present themselves as I get a story idea. The questions just keep coming as the story develops. I get those broad questions first. I start writing. I have waking dreams before falling asleep that develop the plot. Eventually, it all comes together and I have a story.

In this case, I have The Mepuvirean Prophecy series. You can find the beginning of Jess and Aryk’s story in Scents and Sensibility. Follow along as Jess finds the rest of her harem as the prophecy is fulfilled. Stay tuned for more connected stories in the same universe.
